Undergraduate Lecture Course, University of Colorado, Boulder Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Department, (Summer 2023)
I was the primary instructor for ATOC 1050 during the summer of 2023. My responsibilities included designing and delivering lectures, creating homework assignments, and leading in-class activites throughout the entire course. Classes lasted two hours and took place every Monday through Thursday for five weeks.
REU Python Class, University of Colorado, Boulder Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Department, (Summer 2023)
I helped run a two-week course designed to teach incoming REU students the basics of Python. This included designing and delivering lectures, as well as monitoring hands-on workshops.
Undergraduate Field Course, Juneau Icefield, (Summer 2022)
I served as a Teaching Faculty for the Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP) in the summer of 2022. JIRP is a field course designed to provide an interactive course in glaciology. I developed several lectures on historical glacial cycles, Milankovitch Theory, and general atmospheric circulation. In addition, I helped with hands-on workshops and co-led a book club about glaciology.
Undergraduate Lab Course, University of Colorado, Boulder Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Department, (Fall 2020, Spring 2021)
I served as an instructor for the Weather and Atmosphere Lab course for a total of four 4 sections (two per semester). My responsibilities included providing introductory lectures for each lab, assisting students with their weekly projects, and grading all lab reports. I was awarded the ATOC Graduate Student Lab TA award for my work in this role.
Undergraduate Lab Course, Hope College Physics Department, (Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, Fall 2019, Spring 2020)
I served as a Teaching Assistant for General Physics Laboratory I (3 semesters) and II (2 semesters). My responsibilites included grading lab reports, aiding students during the lab session, and testing new material. I also helped the department rapidly develop an online format in the spring of 2020 to accomodate virtual instruction. I was awarded the Physics Department TA award for my work in this role.
